Out of 52 applications submitted…
On pronouns:
- 37 (71.2%) prefer female (she/her)
- 5 (9.6%) prefer male (him/his)
- 5 (9.6%) prefer gender neutral (they/them)
- 5 (9.6%) prefer other
On Slack:
- 26 of the applicants (50%) were already on our Slack at the time of submission
- 97.1% of trans women wanted to join the chat exclusively for trans women.
On location:
- 45 applicants (86.5%) divulged their location, to some extent
- 10 applicants (19.2%) are from California
- 6 applicants (11.5%) from Washington State
- 5 applications (9.6%) are from Minnesota
- 5 applications (9.6%) are from Oregon
- 4 applicants (7.6%) are from UK
On software experience:
- 15 (28.8%) said they had no experience creating software
- 15 (28.8%) said they were experts in software
- 18 (37.5%) said they had no experience in Python
- 4 (8.3%) said they were an expert in Python
